What a day.  Talus Wind Ranch sits just below the Comanche Gap hogback south of Galisteo with a view of the basin and Sangre de Cristo mountain range that is not to be believed!

Owner, Tim Willms raises heritage sheep - Navajo-Churro, Southdowns, Miniature Southdowns, Rambouillet, and Finnsheep - on his 460 acre ranch, as well as turkeys, rabbits, ducks, geese, pheasants, and lots and lots of chickens. All Talus Wind Ranch animals are raised within the tenants of sustainable ranching principles,  striving to maintain the highest health and humane standards in raising and preparing the animals for market.

Lunch was delicious  - organic greens with a lovely, light vinaigrette, braised Talus Wind Ranch lamb over couscous, and individual tangerine pies with heavenly crust.
